Y-3 Fall/Winter 2009 Honja Hi
Today we give you a look at another popular high top model from the Y-3 Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. The Honja Hi comes in three colorways - black/blue/white striped, black/white and brown. The black and the brown colorways are very solid. We like the used look on the brown premium leather and the perforated parts on the black as well. The striped colorway asks for a little more attention. Look out for these later this summer.

This year marks Bugatti’s 100th anniversary, and the luxury auto manufacturer commemorates its centennial milestone with a special-edition car. The one-off Veyron even displays the brand’s traditional blue on the cover of its 1,001 hp 8-liter W-16 engine. Bugatti set the price at 1.35 million euros—roughly $2 million after taxes and delivery charges.
Rapper “Dolla” Killed in Beverly Center
The Los Angeles Times reports that Atlanta-based rapper Dolla (né Anthony Burton II) was shot and killed outside of Los Angeles’ Beverly Center shopping mall just after 3 p.m. PDT on Monday. Though the Los Angeles Police Dept. would not confirm the identity of the victim, the Times reports that Dolla’s publicist, Sue Vannasing, confirmed to the newspaper that her client was shot outside the mall, while waiting with fellow rapper D.J. Shabbazz. Dolla is believed to be in his early twenties.
The shooting reportedly occurred during a group melee, possibly also involving a knife. Police have detained a person of interest, whom the LAPD would not name and said had not yet been arrested. Dolla is perhaps best known for the single “Feelin’ Myself,” which was featured in the 2006 dance film Step Up.

SpongeBob SquarePants x Nooka 10th Anniversary Watch Collection
Utilizing two all-new models, the ZUB ZENH (Horizontal) and ZENV (Vertical), New York-based watchmakers Nooka work up a new collaboration alongside premier children’s network, Nickelodeon. The collection celebrates the 10th Anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants with two timepieces inspired by the character and “Bikini Bottom” being available. Scheduled to release throughout 2009-10, the watches for men and women, will see a retail price tag of $170 and $275, respectively.

Musically In-Tuned: Jaspects
With only one year in, THE YARD Green Carpet had the humble privilege of hosting Drake's concert May 2nd at The Loft in Atlanta (YGCE footage is on thee way, be patient). This event was like none other though because on this rare occasion I was not only colloborating with our client, but I am a fan of his work as well. Plus, as a headliner, he sold out the venue in less than 10 hours; that's dumb stupid. It even made me flashback to when the Godfather of Rap (Hova) sold out the Garden in no time.
Unfortunately, so consumed by working and the hype of Drake actually performing, I wasn't able to really listen to their set. I was informed however, that they were not booed the entire time like the 1st performer (isn't he lucky I forgot his name). But as the night wrapped & I was headed to Fellini's for a late night bite with THE YARD team and BC&D creators, I peeped a CD in the backseat with stripes & hint of polkadots along one band. I thought I love the perks of becoming a Mogul. But honestly, I was gratified that I was able to get a copy of their 4th album Polkadotted Stripes.

Japanese brand Hare presents a new High Top Sneaker this season. It comes with a nylon upper in pink, silver and black. The sneaker features a double ankle strap and a side zipper as well, facilitating getting into the high tops. Aside from the white sole, the entire upper comes tonal.

Nike Blazer Hi “Green Spark”
The Nike Blazer Hi “Green Spark” is done up in a bright “Green Spark” with red accents that has been dubbed Pimento. Like many Blazers from Nike Skateboarding, this particular colorway receives a leather treatment on the Swoosh, while the rest of the upper is done up in a mash up of nubuck and suede. A nice looking shoe that should hit stores towards the end of summer.

Nike Air Yeezy Black/Pink
Slightly different from the first colorway that released, the Black/Pink Yeezy features the repeating “Y” stamping across the back of the shoes in addition to the strap and around the laces. Something also unique to this colorway is the crease-proof black neoprene upper and lush grey suede toe cap.
Color accents make their way to the shoe by way of a pink liner and lace lock as well as the unmistakable glow-in-the-dark outsole.
